I forgot if I had declared that I bought 5 lots of MIT at 1.09 at Thursday closing.
That makes my dividend portfolio to close to $11k
Will not be adding anymore this year unless got big crash.

I wish this analyst is right.
But until I know whether he is going to be right, how to put money on his horse? aa-2.gif

    Daiwa - 27 Mar 2012

    City Developments

We reiterate our Sell (5) rating and
    target price of S$8.48, obtained
    from applying a trough PER
multiple of 14.7x to our average EPS
    forecast for 2012-13E. Our target
price represents a 22% discount to
our SOTP valuation of S$10.82. We
have not changed our negative view
    on Singapore residential developers
and believe that the risks of rising
    inventory levels and a supplydemand
    mismatch are as acute as
ever. The major risk to our Sell
rating and target price would be a
    resilient property market and no
    more government cooling measures
    for the rest of 2012.

     How we differ

Our target price and 2012-14 EPS
forecasts are among the lowest on
the street, as we expect home prices
to correct by 22-26% overall from
    end-2011 to end-2014.

    Good Afternoon

And that what explain the recent weakness of Dua Bui Soh.
In the past DBS was driven down when rumour of DBS wanting to buy Bank Danamon was circulating in the market place.
Reason being DBS might be buying at 3 times book until Charirman Peter Seah came out to assure Shareholder that they will not be overpaying in any asset purchases.
This time around I think the bears are using this reason to drive down the share price but the bulls are confident that DBS will be prudent not to overpay.
Moreover Chairman Peter Seah had hinted that this year 2012 will be another record breaking year.
If you ask me what I think I would say that I will be watching the show and see who is the eventual winner. Bulls or Bears.
    Cheers.

    Guys,

    Alot depends on two things...

    1. Whether Dow's positive close was due to window dressing or whether the Americans are done with their mild
pullback to 13000 and they are now ready to ride the bull rodeo style all the way to their next Pit Stop at 14000.

    Rodeo.gif

    2. Whether our CKs in STI will follow the lead of the Americans or will keep our local market depressed for a
while more to enable them to accumulate at lower prices before unleashing the bull to catch up with the
    American Bull.

    My view is....

The longer trend is still UP.....14000 for the Dow and 3200 for STI.

Short term wise..... weakness will still come and go when traders cut loss or take profits but becoz tons
of cash are lurking at the sidelines waiting for dips to pick up bargains, prices will NOT freefall. The market
will be supported. At the same time, the market will not CHEONG either....until the big boys are ready and
they will be ready when they have stocked up their positions. Then they will unleash the bull.

Hence, we are still in a BUY ON DIPs market.

Confuse it is....also with the bidding over control rights of Danamon Bank from her "parent" company - Temasek Holdings, DBS is another counter to watch come Monday.

I suppose our market has been constantly playout by Europe early trading result together with Dow future, which my explain why our market wasn't prepare to advance positive. I second your view if Europe and Dow closes with good positive figures, which will definately boost things up in Asia.

Europe was green and so was Dow Futures during the last hour of trading but still,
our market was languishing. The only logical reason is......the work of the big boys.
They wanted weakness to prevail and they engineered it.

If DOW cheong tonite...come Monday is another story.
